The Communications Consultant 5 has deep knowledge and understanding of African American and LGBT communities, develops internal and external communications strategies and provides counsel on large scale projects emanating from Marketing’s African American and LGBT segment teams. The projects are complex, often multi-phased and impact large numbers of team members and external stakeholders. This role requires a seasoned, highly organized communications professional who is an excellent writer, has strong communications support experience, can manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines and often demanding circumstances and can deliver timely and accurate materials. Candidates must be able to work in a highly complex organization, navigate and manage input and approvals from multiple teams and individuals. This position will consult with business unit senior executives to interpret, translate and apply communications strategies that drive large-scale organizational and cultural initiatives across marketing activities.
The Communications Consultant 5 will: • Set Communications priorities for the African American and LGBT segments • Develop and execute results-driven communications strategies that are aligned with business goals, including proven skills and knowledge in team member communications and media relations • Support a large, complex business, working across business lines, or at an enterprise level • Interface with executives to ensure expectations are understood and met • Engage and influence stakeholders, create and distribute content, advise and lead, and manage and measure key outcomes • Manage communications for select projects and ensure project communications are on time • Manage leading cross functional communication teams • Navigate and manage input and approvals from multiple teams, leaders, and key stakeholders • Partner effectively with peers in Corporate Communications to support Wells Fargo communication priorities • Draft and edit effective internal and external communications for the enterprise
