We are currently searching for a Full-time Mental Health Practitioner to join our Screening Assessment and Supportive Services (SASS) Team!
Our SASS professionals stabilize crisis situations and provide intensive mental health services to children and adolescents who are experiencing acute psychiatric episodes. SASS uses intensive community-based intervention to limit psychiatric hospitalizations.
Essential Job Functions:
Clinicians will provide community-based crisis assessment and stabilization and are capable of dynamic management of client-cases within a fee-for-service treatment environment.
Does comprehensive, in-depth assessments for a variety of program services. Does intake as assigned.
Provides a full range of case management, counseling, advocacy educational, and related services.
Learns and utilizes agency and community resources.
Assesses community conditions affecting clients to identify resource gaps and problems.
Recommends financial assistance for clients.
Provides group services as indicated by program need.
May be responsible for meeting contractual requirements such as 24-hour coverage.
Master’s Degree in Social Work or Counseling with a LPC/LSW preferred.
Must have applied to take LSW examination
On-Call after-hours responsibilities, approximately 3-5 shifts per month with additional compensation
2-3 evenings per week requires
Will require some weekends
Will carry agency-provided mobile phone
Access to a vehicle, valid driver’s license and proof of insurance to perform essential job functions.
Ability to differentiate between psychiatric and non-psychiatric crisis.
Ideal candidates will skillfully provide short-term, intensive therapy to children and their families following a psychiatric crisis or hospitalization.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
