The Achieving College/Career Excellence through Student Success (A.C.C.E.S.S.) grant initiative is currently looking for four qualified tutors (2 for Math and 2 for English/Reading). Tutors will work with students during our after school program two days per week at either Northwestern High School or High Point High School in Prince George's County, Maryland. If you aspire to inspire students to be college and career ready, then we would love to have you on our team. A successful A.C.C.E.S.S. Tutor will:
Commit to at least 4 tutoring hours per week
Develop rapport with students and establish a fun learning environment
Interact with and motivate students as they work during tutoring time
Reward students for completed assignments
Evaluate and document student progress
Communicate student needs to the Site Project Coordinator
Maintain a positive attitude and demonstrate enthusiasm for tutoring as well as the A.C.C.E.S.S. initiatives
Bachelor's degree in the subject you want to tutor in and be passionate about education.
