Posting Summary: The Office of Gift Planning (wills, trusts, estates and complex assets) accounted for approximately 25% of the last successful $3 Billion dollar fundraising campaign at UVA. Our team will be relied upon heavily as we celebrate the University's Bicentennial and engage in our next fundraising effort.
This position provides administrative support to the Office of Gift Planning, and travel support for a team of up to four Gift Planning fundraisers. Duties may include: interacting with donors and professional fundraisers, scheduling, booking travel, stewardship assistance, managing donor records and basic administrative support. Additionally, may assist in special projects as needed.
The ideal candidate enjoys working in a collaborative team environment focused on raising money for the University of Virginia. He/she possess a friendly disposition, values customer service, and has excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Required Minimum Level of Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
Preferred Minimum Level of Education: Bachelor's Degree
Required Minimum Level of Experience: Some - up to 4 years
Required Specific Experience: Secretarial / administrative support / customer relations experience.
Preferred Minimum Level of Experience: Some - up to 4 years
Preferred Specific Experience: Sales, financial, legal, or tax office experience is preferred.
