The Clinical Operations Supervisor provides supervision, leadership, expert guidance, and training to the clinic support staff, including PAS Specialists, PAS Resource Specialists and MAs. The Supervisor manages interviewing, recruiting, training, supervising, and evaluating all clinic support staff. This position is responsible for managing the clinic flow for the Department of Medicine. The Supervisor will represent the Clinic and Department of Medicine in OPEx, process improvement, and quality improvement meetings, along with any other appropriate clinic-related meetings as needed, and will ensure implementation and alignment of all processes related to these meetings within the Clinic in accordance with Divisions, Department of Medicine, and OHSU standardized guidelines. The Supervisor will ensure adherence to OHSU policies and procedures for the Clinic, including the Joint Commission standards. This position will facilitate daily readiness huddles with the clinic staff and manage Bridge submissions. The Supervisor will participate and ensure coverage for clinic huddle activities, including readiness, ambulatory mid-tier and clinic flow.
The Supervisor will share responsibility in, and help impact, optimizing Press Ganey scores, achieving institutional patient access objectives, and providing feedback to the Department on quarterly Faculty Practice Plan Scorecard metrics.
This position will manage outcomes and leverage relationship with centralized intake, scheduling and managed care services as appropriate.
As Supervisor, the employee will be responsible for general clinic, operational and facility management duties including, but not limited to, the following: staff timekeeping, tracking and approving clinic supply orders submitted by clinic staff, managing patient issues and concerns as needed, acting as a resource for staff regarding HR issues and concerns, and providing periodic coverage when clinic staff are unavailable. The Supervisor will provide the Department with budget information regarding clinical operations.
