Position Summary The Department of Political Science at Susquehanna University invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor in Comparative Politics beginning with the 2017-2018 academic year. The successful candidate must be able to teach both introductory and advanced courses on the government and politics of the Middle East, Africa, or Asia, as well as introductory international relations. The candidate will have the opportunity to teach other courses in comparative politics and international relations.
Required Qualifications Requirements include a Ph.D. or evidence that all doctoral degree requirements will be completed by June 1, 2017. Teaching experience is highly preferred and a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching and research in a small undergraduate liberal arts university is expected.
Preferred Qualifications It is preferred that the candidate also be qualified to teach an introductory course in methodology. An ability to teach a course in comparative public policy will be considered a plus.
