Responsible for day to day farm operations at the research center. Independently must manage and schedule work activities; prepare land, coordinate planting and harvesting of various crops, collect and record data. Incumbent will manage some administrative functions of farm program to include budet and record management. Incumbent will supervise wage employee(s). Responsible for maintenance and repair of equipment and buildings. Incumbent answers to the Department Head of Crop and Soil Environmental Sciences.
Experience with growing crops, farm management, equipment maintenance, and field research procedures; Supervisory and administrative skills; Acquisition and maintenance of appropriate licenses needed for farm operations will be expected.
Associate’s Degree; Previous experience in a research environment.
