Develop software and assist in the analysis, design and development of agile deployment processes that will enable applications to run both on premises and in the cloud. Participate in project initiatives that evaluate new technologies and assist with the planning and integration of these technologies into university business processes. Provide technical assistance as needed to insure successful implementation of these technologies.
-B.S. degree in computer science or equivalent level training/experience in a related field.
-Must be fluent in one or more modern programming languages.
-Experience developing, maintaining, and implementing web based applications delivering dynamic content across multiple client platforms.
-Must have experience developing software in a project oriented environment working as a member of a project team.
-Proficiency in Linux system administration.
-Excellent communication skills for communicating technical subject matter to peers within the department.
-In depth knowledge of Linux containers and cloud-based application deployment.
-Knowledge of public key cryptography, TLS, LDAP, HTTP and micro services.
