General Description Department: Neurology
Monday - Friday 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. 40 hrs.
Position will be responsible for coordinating clinical trials and other clinical research projects for the Johns Hopkins Multiple Sclerosis Center. This may involve, but is not limited to, identifying appropriate patients, screening medical records, consenting study participants, performing and analyzing OCT scans, performing data collection and entry, collecting blood samples, organizing regulatory paperwork, assisting with processing and analyzing MRI data and manuscript preparation. Will work directly with the principal investigators and other study coordinators to develop, amend, and execute study protocols. Will attend clinics, as needed, to provide screening for research participants. The research coordinator must also monitor, schedule, and execute participants' study visits and monitor the study budget. This position reports to the division's Research Manager, with an indirect reporting line to the faculty principal investigators of the clinical research projects. Manage and maintain all participant binders, study binders, and documentation for the study as well as assist the principal investigators in preparing for audits, advertising for the studies, implementing new recruitment strategies, and preparing reports for the IRB as well as handling and documenting IRB correspondence. Must also be willing to conduct database design and management.
