Demonstrable knowledge, education or professional experience in an area of applied science, global sustainability, environmental science, public policy, geography, ecology or some related field is essential. Excellent interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills sufficient to speak with and write to persons of various social, cultural, economic, and ethnic backgrounds to develop effective working relationships, assess and resolve problems. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities with minimal supervision, and respond in a timely manner to inquiries and requests. Skill in supervision including organizing work flow to accomplish objectives, delegating job tasks, coaching, training, and evaluating performance. Demonstrated ability to respond to Program Director needs and expectations in a supportive and professional manner, with attention to promptness and focus on solutions. Demonstrated ability to compose and edit multiple types of reports, all levels of correspondence, program descriptions and program proposals using correct grammar, syntax and spelling. Skill in analyzing information, problems, situations, practices or procedures to identify relevant factors and make recommendations for the resolution of problems. Technical proficiency and knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to accept unclear circumstances and take action where answers to a problem are not readily apparent. Familiarity with automated systems and database support tools for managing large amounts of information. Ability to provide excellent customer service to internal and external partners and students. Ability to function effectively in a complex self-supporting public-service organization.
Target salary range for this position is: $3892 -$4750 monthly
