The Roy H. Park School of Communications at Ithaca College invites applications for a Postdoctoral Fellowship for Faculty Diversity to begin August 16, 2017. This fellowship supports promising scholars who are committed to diversity in the academy and will prepare such scholars for future tenure track appointments.
Applications are welcome in the following areas: journalism, emerging media, mass media industry and policy analysis, strategic communications, screen studies, and writing for film, television and new media.
This post-doc position is for the academic year (August 16, 2017 to May 31, 2018) and is renewable for up to a total of two years. The scholar will receive a $50,000 stipend, $5,000 in travel/professional development support, relocation reimbursement, office space, health benefits and access to Ithaca College and Cornell University libraries. The scholar will teach 16-18 credits over the academic year, will be mentored by senior professors and our Center for Faculty Excellence and will be engaged in planning and executing special events and guest speaker series. The scholar will also be required to partake in an exit-interview.
