The Department of Business Information Technology in the Pamplin College of Business at Virginia Tech invites applications for a non-tenure-track faculty position in Integrated Cyber-Security. The position will be filled, depending upon qualifications, at the rank of assistant or associate collegiate professor and will be housed at the Northern Virginia Center in the National Capital Region.
A Ph.D. degree in Business Information Technology or in a related technology field is required. Prospective applicants who have direct teaching and research experience in applying security-related knowledge to interdisciplinary collaborations that explore cybersecurity challenges through the lens of technology, law, governance, ethics, and business are encouraged to apply. Candidates for this position will be required to conduct research in the field, and teach and develop graduate level courses to students pursuing the MBA and Master of Information Technology degrees. In addition to teaching and research, faculty members are expected to engage in departmental, college, and university service activities. Qualified individuals with experience in outreach to corporate and government entities are preferred.
