This position will assume an important role in the coordinating/monitoring of capital projects approval process with Schools/Units and other groups and supporting the automated capital planning (CPATH) and project approvals (CAPS) systems. The CAPS system is a University-wide web-based program that tracks capital project financial status from project planning through construction close out. Managing the CAPS form approval process is the primary responsibility for this position. The person in this role will work closely with the CAPS Manager will a goal of independence in the execution of the responsibilities of the position.
Specific responsibilities include:
Reviews CAPS forms for data integrity including collaboration with all Schools/units to make necessary updates as needed.
Prepares memos for senior leadership.
Distributes capital project information to interested parties.
Trains and supports users of the CAPS systems once system proficiency obtained.
Completes monthly deliverables based on CAPS form data.
In addition to pertinent role in project approvals, other responsibilities for this position include:
Assists with the administration of various University wide construction committee meetings; responsibilities include distributing agendas, attending meetings, and taking notes.
Participates in the support, enhancement, and testing of the automated systems.
Performs complex analyses for preparation of the University's capital plan.
Works within a team and collaborates with capital planning personnel across Schools/Units.
Performs other ad-hoc duties as assigned or requested.
