The Department of Art & Art History at the University of Texas at Arlington is inviting applications for a tenure track position as Assistant Professor of Art + Design at the University of Texas at Arlington. Position starts August 2017.
The position requires the faculty member teach undergraduate courses (with the opportunity to also teach in the MFA program) in Visual Communication Design in the Art and Art History Department, continue to help develop the packaging/digital media programs, advise students, and participate in departmental, professional, and community service.
Candidates should have a MFA in a Design related field is required. A strong background in 3D visualization, packaging and game design/development is required. The applicant should have a portfolio that demonstrates both 2D and 3D digital design, as well as college level teaching experience.
Candidates should also include appropriate documentation of professional activities such as teaching, evidence of scholarly research publications, format, and advocacy Provide examples of your work on Web, CD, or DVD (include images and time-based media), 20 examples of your students' work to :
