Reporting to the Directors of Communication and Information Technology, the position will serve as the Web Developer for Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine. This position will be required to plan, design, implement and maintain the components making up various web-based presences at VTCSOM. The primary function will be additions and maintenance to the VTCSOM website via a content management system. This will require significant working knowledge of HTML, Adobe Experience Manager. Additional responsibilities will include consultation and notification of any and all web-based tools used at VTCSOM. The position requires ability to interact and effectively communicate with a diverse customer base. The position is located at the Roanoke campus.
Master's degree or Bachelor's degree and experience.
Significant experience in web development and design.
Experience using best practices in search engine optimization and web analytics.
Must be a self-initiated team player with strong leadership, organizational and analytical skills. Capable of prioritizing multiple complex problems and meeting deadlines. Professional with advanced communication skills.
Experience in Project Management.
Experience in Adobe Experience Manager
Strong understanding of the social media experience
Experience working in higher education environment
