Assistant/Associate Professor (Tenure-Track) - Pharmacy Practice & Science-(160001LS)
Assistant/Associate Professor, tenure track, in the Department of Pharmacy Practice and Science in the Maryland Poison Center (MPC) at the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy. This is a full time faculty position to coordinate research and professional education in the MPC and serve as the director of the clinical toxicology fellowship program. Experience conducting independent research is required. Teaching experience in both classroom and small group format is required. This individual will serve as co-course manager for two clinical toxicology elective courses in the UM School of Pharmacy as well as serve as co-course manager for the clinical toxicology rotation in the MPC.
The MPC is a certified regional poison center serving the majority of the state of Maryland and is a service program of the UM School of Pharmacy since 1972. Located in the UM School of Pharmacy's Department of Pharmacy Practice and Science, the MPC has a total of 24 staff and two faculty positions to help support 24-7 poison center operations.
The position is a full-time, 12 month appointment based on our Baltimore campus. In addition to teaching, service, and scholarly activity, this faculty member will provide leadership in their area of clinical toxicology.
