The Epic ADT/Grand Central Certified Analyst will work closely with leadership translating business needs into EMR functionality. This position will be primarily responsible for implementing and supporting Information Technology applications with minimal supervision, specifically those related to the Epic Grand Central, Cadence Prelude systems, which manage inpatient, emergency and outpatient visits for the hospitals and the physician practices; Epic Prelude, which provides patient registration, address verification, and HIPPA-compliant eligibility tools to ensure accurate billing; and Epic Cadence, a patient scheduling application.
The incumbent is accountable for developing and executing the project plan for large and complex projects and initiatives. The responsibilities include: Design, development, system configuration, implementation, and support of large and complex information systems for the organization; planning, developing, training, implementing, and evaluating application functionality; working with the team and key customers to ensure appropriate development, training, mentoring other staff within the team, and implementation of application functionality.
The incumbent will focus on analytical support and project management. They perform unit testing and create complex integrated testing scripts used to perform detailed quality assurance within multiple systems and applications prior to release of new functionality to end-users. Positions at this level assess implementation strategies and the impact those strategies will have on workflows and operations.
They are responsible for reviewing vendor software releases and updates to determine features desired and then implement them. Incumbent will assist in maintaining current test and training environments and participate in training end-users. These positions also provide 7/24 problem management support and resolution for Revenue Cycle Applications.
As a technical leader in clinical applications, applies advanced professional concepts and extensive industry knowledge to lead and / or work on medium to large projects of broad scope and complexity. May be recognized expert of an area of focus of business in clinical applications.
A Bachelor's Degree in health care information technology, computer science, or related area, and/or equivalent combination of experience/training.
Experience and proven success in information systems implementation, development and support within a large-scale healthcare organization.
Five (5) or more years of relevant experience.
Demonstrated experience as a major participant in a clinical system implementation.
EPIC systems software experience (implementation, support, upgrades, etc.) for the following applications: ADT, Bedtime, Prelude.
EPIC ADT/Grand Central certifications.
Experience in one or more of the following revenue cycle functions: Patient Access and Admitting, Charge Capture, Denials Management and Recovery, Patient Accounting, and/or Patient Financial Services.
Must pass a background check.
Must pass physical, drug screen and TB test.
Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
Must be able to travel outside of the county a minimum of 5% of the time for training, conferences/seminars, or meetings in support of projects assigned to.
