Advertised Summary Job Description: The Vice-Dean for Organizational Effectiveness at the Columbia University Irving Medical Center (CUIMC) is seeking a candidate to contribute data science developer/analyst skills toward the development and execution of fast-moving, data-driven, and innovative medical education and evaluation projects.
The Data Science Developer/Analyst will be expected to perform database management and have responsibilities that include extracting, formatting, validating, interpreting, and presenting data from a variety of databases.
The candidate will be charged with strategizing the approach for and execution of statistical analyses, including the translation of statistical analyses into visual presentations for administrative leaders.
The candidate will interact with a multidisciplinary team that strongly values creativity, rigor, timeliness and collaboration.
General Minimum Qualifications: Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent in education and experience, plus four years of related experience.
Additional Specific Minimum Qualifications: Masters level coursework in statistics; Requires high level of proficiency in Excel, Access, Filemaker, SAS; Requires previous workplace experience working in interdisciplinary teams to produce deliverables.
This is a position for a highly organized person with strong interpersonal/communication skills and the ability to handle confidential information with exceptional judgment and discretion.

The candidate should be comfortable with demonstrating flexibility to meet rapidly evolving deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications: Previous work/exposure to a health- or education-related field.
