| Advertised Summary Job Description: Reporting to the Associate Treasurer, Global Treasury Operations, the Treasury Director is responsible for providing leadership and strategic direction to the cash management team to ensure the designated functions including cash positioning, funds transfers, cash accounting, liquidity for working capital, reporting and analysis, cash forecasting, working capital investments, credit card merchant account management & PCI compliance, and bank account services management are in compliance with internal controls, policies and external regulations and functions are completed timely and accurately. The Director will work closely with the Associate Treasurer, Global Treasury Operations in supporting the Treasury department through the transition to new senior leadership. The Director will oversee the update of signatories on over 200 global bank accounts. The Director will play a key role in recommending and leading initiatives and providing feedback to the Associate Treasurer related to day to day process improvements as well as longer term strategic goals. The Director works closely with other members of Treasury and the Office of Management and Budget, Procurement & Accounts Payable, Controllers & Sponsored Project Finance, General Counsel and with School/Department finance organizations. The Director will work closely with the Associate Treasurer, Global Treasury Operations in supporting the Treasury department through the transition to new senior leadership.|
The Director will be part of a team responsible for the accurate calculation and funding of the University's daily cash position, which includes ensuring all required financial obligations are met timely and daily reconciliations from the Treasury Workstation (TWS) to GL entries are completed. The Director will act as back-up to staff to execute the daily cash management functions.
The Director will be part of a team responsible to monitor and report the domestic and global cash position and prepare analysis for discussion with senior management, update the TWS with the short term forecast, monitor and report on the accuracy of the forecast and variances, and coordinate the forecast with key members of the team. The Director will review working capital investments and recommend opportunities based on the market conditions and cash position and will forecast working capital investment income and coordinate reporting with the Office of Management and Budget.
Operational Bank and Vendor Relationships
The Director will work closely with the team to conduct a service level and pricing review of global bank fees including reporting in the TWS. The Director will assist in the issue and evaluation of cash management services RFPs.
Credit Card Processing
The Director will be part of a team that manages the university's PCI compliance program with IT Security and the senior business officers.

General Minimum Qualifications: Bachelors degree with 7-9 years experience in finance, accounting or business required preferably with a strong background in Treasury Operations
Additional Specific Minimum Qualifications: Prior Treasury Management System experience required. General knowledge of cash accounting practices and financial statement analysis required. Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, and PowerPoint) required. Must be detail oriented and have excellent problem-identification and problem-solving skills. Must be able to understand and meet project deadlines and have demonstrated capabilities in managing projects. Demonstrated ability to work in a high pressure, fast-paced environment with changing priorities and across multiple projects required. Excellent analytical, organizational, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, including a high level of attention to detail and active listening skills required. Must be able to negotiate issues, resolve problems and have strong influencing skills. The successful candidate must be able to work well with all levels of management, both internally and externally, be flexible in nature, have sound judgment with a collaborative style that fosters teamwork and cooperation beyond the immediate team to the broader organization. Must have a passion for excellent customer service and commitment to exceptional quality.
Preferred Qualifications: Masters degree (preferably in Finance, Accounting or Business) preferred. CTP (Certified Treasury Professional) designation preferred. Credit card processing experience a plus. Experience working in global business environment a plus. Experience with on-line transaction systems, database, web and project management software a plus.
