UWC has an outstanding opportunity for a Financial Liaison Analyst.
This position will provide financial analysis for a portfolio of campus degree partners, in addition to providing in-depth data analysis/interpretation in support of other liaisons. They will provide financial analysis and recommendations, which are used for decision-making by senior leadership within the schools and UWC management.
This position will create and implement financial modeling and data analysis for fee-based degree programs and continuing education certificate programs.
Performs variance analysis. Participates in discussions with other liaisons/analysts, program management staff and senior leadership regarding the interpretation of data.
Creates and analyzes financial statements, such as P&L; requires familiarity with Excel, Access and accounting systems.
Reviews budget-to-actual with program management staff and follows-up on open issues.
Ensures accuracy, integrity and availability of data.
Reconciles month-end transactions between UWC and the University's accounting systems, and suspense and operating accounts as assigned.
Provides training, education and interpretation of financial data to non-financial audiences.
Performs liaison responsibilities for a portfolio of programs in addition to providing in-depth data analysis/interpretation in support of other liaisons.
Manages year-end close calendar and related internal and external communications.
Initiates new processes and provides training support to academic program managers.
Supports the Finance Department mission for continuous improvement. Mentors accountants to reduce error rates and improve efficiency.
Functions within a team environment, recommends process improvement strategies, and adjusts to the needs of the business by accepting additional finance-related responsibilities as needed.

| Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field AND 2-3 years' experience to include: |
Full scope financial analysis, including use of automated systems and data analysis tools.
Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Excel including the ability to design and build from scratch relatively complex calculation models, linking to other spreadsheet files and the ability to format and document spreadsheets in a user-friendly, logical manner.
Demonstrated ability to analyze, interpret and explain financial results, and to formulate and implement process improvements.
Equivalent education/experience will substitute for all minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license/certification/registration.

Evidence of continuing education in Finance, Accounting and/or business fields.
Proficiency with Microsoft Access.
