This position facilitates many integral parts of Student Affairs Office operations related to the clinical years of the medical student curriculum.? This position oversees all aspects of the domestic and international visiting student elective program. This position is responsible for planning and conducting workshops/meetings throughout the academic year to disseminate information and training about policies and procedures for students, staff and faculty. This position is responsible for all onboarding tasks for new clerkship coordinators and clerkship chairs, including setting up access to systems, training for duties and responsibilities, troubleshooting, and correspondence. This position is also in charge of overseeing administration of clerkship exams. This individual also oversees all fourth-year student schedule changes and evaluations.
Skilled at working independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrated skill in exercising good judgment with diplomacy and discretion. Skilled in prioritizing assignments to complete work in a timely manner. Ability to problem-solve and work independently with high degree of accuracy. Must be able to manage several accurate databases at once. Extremely personable and friendly attitude. Previous experience working with faculty and students. Ability to read and write business correspondence with a high degree of accuracy. Advanced skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Outlook and calendaring programs.? Ability to communicate effectively, respectfully, and professionally with faculty, students and staff, both orally and in writing. Skilled in meeting planning: logistical arrangements, announcements, registration, and evaluation. Ability to follow through on assignments to on-time completion.? Knowledge of the current medical student curriculum and proposed changes. Ability to organize tasks and information in order to facilitate the various responsibilities of the Office of the Student Affairs, track various projects, maintain files, etc. Ability to read and write English with appropriate spelling, grammar, and punctuation. Ability to synthesize information from a variety of sources. Ability to work effectively as a team member. Ability to maintain confidentiality of information and handle issues discretely and with appropriate sensitivity. Ability to establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with other staff members, faculty and students. Ability to interact with individuals of diverse backgrounds.?
