USC University Advancement division is seeking two Administrative Assistant II individuals to support major gift officers located on the Health Sciences Campus. Each incumbent will provide direct office support related to fundraising, stewardship and cultivation for three major gift officers.
Main responsibilities include answering phones, making travel arrangements; providing daily support for each gift officer; writing correspondence to prospects, members and university colleagues; updating and maintaining databases and files; managing vendor payments and staff reimbursements; identifying and tracking prospects; maintaining supplies and office equipment; and other tasks as assigned.
1. Individual must possess exceptional professional writing, editing and analytical skill; strong verbal and interpersonal skills; superior customer service demeanor; and an ability to interface professionally with alumni, parents, administration, faculty and students. Must have the ability to work effectively with donor community, with the academic community and with colleagues in a cooperative environment.
2.Ideal candidate will have previous experience in a non-profit setting, preferably with an understanding of working in a development environment.
3.Individual must have superior organizational skills, ability to work independently with minimal direction, and an ability to work well with others as required. Must be detail-oriented and possess an aptitude in use of Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
4.Individual must have the ability to work in high-volume, deadline-driven environment with speed, efficiency and a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
5.Individual must have ability to create, read and understand complex data and reports, and occasionally write complex correspondence.
6.Individual must have the ability to proofread the work of others and ensure accuracy of all documents and reports generated.
7.Individual must be willing to work flexible hours; some nights and weekends may be required.
