|MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS |
• Current enrollment as a graduate level student in an accredited college or university with a graduate study focus on public health, public policy, or related field. • Must have an overall grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 grade point scale or "Pass" on a Pass/Fail system; • Demonstrated knowledge of, or interest in, community public health and/or public health emergency preparedness and response.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (KSA’S) Knowledge • Interest in governmental and community public health initiatives • Knowledge of the social determinants of health • Knowledge of office practices, procedures and equipment.
Skills • Strong interpersonal skills • Strong organizational skills • Strong written and oral communication skills • Medium-level computer skills with Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Word and strong Excel Preferred: Medium-level skills with qualitative research. Abilities

WORK DURATION & CONDITIONS • Negotiable and flexible between the hours of 8:00 am and 5:30pm; approximately 20 hours per week. NACCHO will work with intern to facilitate academic credit. • Internship duration and schedule to be mutually determined by supervisor and intern; • Must conform to NACCHO dress and grooming standards, work rules and safety procedures.
