Provide clinical management of identified patient populations as a member of a specialized clinical and research Vascular and Interventional Radiology team, under the general direction of the Clinical and Academic Chiefs of the section. Participate in the evaluation and management and performance of image-guided procedures for the diagnosis and treatment of peripheral-vascular and multi-system disease.Assist physicians in the clinic. Obtain patient histories and perform physical exams. Coordinate and schedule patients for clinic visits and procedures. Screen prospective patients for medical eligibility for research protocols and clinical trials. Obtain consent for various diagnostic and interventional procedures.Develop and manage procedures for intake, medical monitoring and follow-up of patients. Act as liaison between the interventional physicians and referring physicians, patients and their families. Coordinate all aspects of patient care with section secretaries. Assist in the performance of diagnostic and therapeutic angiography vascular and interventional radiology, which includes assistance with and the performance of venous access procedures. Follow patients throughout inpatient stay to ensure that appropriate testing, referrals and education are accomplished. Act as a liaison between the interventional physicians and referring physicians, patients and their families. Coordinate all aspects of patient care with section secretaries.Follow patients throughout inpatient stay to ensure that appropriate testing, referrals and education are accomplished. oversee post-procedural follow up of patients, including arterial and venous puncture management. Required Licenses Or Certifications: CT ARPN license (or eligible) with ANA certification OR CT PA license (or eligible).
Master's Degree from an accredited Advanced Nurse Practitioner program or graduation from a Physician Assistant (PA) Training Program accredited by the American Medical Association Council on Medical Education.
