COMPUTER SKILLS: Experience in Microsoft Office, with advanced experience in Word, Excel, Outlook, and Powerpoint
KNOWLEDGE: Communications/journalism helpful; interest in technology. Knowledge of or interest in government policymaking helpful.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
1-3 years’ experience working in journalism, communications, public relations, public policy, and/or advocacy. College degree required; degree in English, Communications, Marketing, Philosophy, Advertising, Political Science, Public Relations, Sociology preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Detail-oriented with knowledge of grammar and punctuation. Proficiency in proofreading skills and strong communications skills are required. The ability to write clearly and concisely while understanding the needs of different audiences is prized the most.
