HR Administration and Information Systems has an outstanding full time opportunity for a Readiness Specialist.
The purpose of this position is to provide strategic project coordination for UWHR's Workday readiness effort by providing data management, project reporting, communications, and administration aligned with documented project requirements.
This position requires a high level of data integration, and the ability to analyze complex information for project impacts. The position also requires excellent written and oral communications skills in order to relay critical information to staff at all levels, and the ability to manage multiple work streams. Understanding this role in the context of the overall HR/P Modernization Program and the interrelatedness among teams is critical. This will require an active learning curve, including a review of readiness components, becoming familiar and fluent regarding direct and implied interdependencies with the HRPM Program.
Data Management: Provide guidance to HR units managing readiness work in SharePoint according to project requirements. Collect, maintain, and interpret project data. Provide recommendations for project improvement as it pertains to data management. Guide staff as needed to ensure project tools are used to maximize system capabilities. Support documentation of business processes, documents, action items, project requests, and outstanding issues. This includes maintaining unit roadmaps, unit readiness documents, compiling readiness inputs to business process work, and analysis of incoming data from the HRPM Program.
Project Reporting: Conduct comprehensive data analysis as required to develop regular project updates and respond to special requests for project data, which may include compiling data from multiple teams and data sources. Work independently to assess incomplete data, conduct research, draw meaningful conclusions, develop appropriate action items, and ensure follow-through to internal/external plans and commitments. Provide strategic analysis of project activities to recommend and implement process improvement. Specifically, this includes drafting regular status reports, News & Notes communications, and providing related analytics.
Communications and Service: Work with readiness manager to prepare internal and external communications, including presentation materials and publications. Schedule and facilitate meetings, develop meeting agendas, documents and meeting minutes, including complex reports. Ensure communications accommodate the unique leadership styles across the HR organization and staff at all levels. Develop organizational communications to represent the UWHR Workday readiness project internally and externally. Edit documents and communications of others as necessary for publication. Calendar and email management may be included. Foster relationships and collaborate with HRPM Program teams, including ICM, ISC.
Future-State Business Process Delivery: Facilitate the development of future UWHR business processes with readiness manager and HR units, and the accurate consolidation of data to readiness project tools. This includes the completion of UWHR's future state and the comprehensive consolidation of this work into a single deliverable. This work includes using the current state processes and future-state inputs to develop comprehensive end-to-end HR processes effective at go-live. Once developed, processes must be tested, implemented, and adjusted for stabilization post go-live.

Bachelor's degree in business or related field
Two to three years related experience
Advanced interpersonal skills
Project management experience and reporting
Experience working in teams
Working with complex data and organizing/summarizing data into standard reports and other formats
MS Excel and Word experience
Working with new technologies and software to gather and report information
Detail-oriented and analytical work
Flexibility to work with multiple competing priorities and workstreams
Equivalent education/experience will substitute for all minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license/certification/registration. Flowchart software such as MS Visio familiarity highly desired
Experience in higher education and/or with executive leadership strongly desired
Successful Team/Project experience
Knowledge of best practices in the field of human resources
Familiarity working with UW systems

This position is funded for approximately nine months, contingent upon continued funding.
Office environment, working under pressure with expected and unexpected deadlines affecting workload. May also require occasional early morning or late evening work.
100% FTE, 5 days per week, working Monday through Friday.
