Under supervision, the Data Reporting Analyst provides computing, programming, and analytical support to the Care Coordination department. Performs a variety of functions and duties relating to the IT applications used by the department, including Allscripts Care Manager, Epic Hospital Billing, Ad Hoc Reporting, SQL programming, etc. which provide tracking and trending information for activities related to Utilization Management, Denials and Appeals, Case Management, Social Work, Transitions of Care and Patient Flow.
Responsibilities include: serving as an analytical technical resource to the team; designing, developing, testing, implementing, and evaluating inpatient utilization review, placement or transitions of care trends; planning, developing, training, implementation, and evaluation of information systems to support ongoing operations and ensure development, evaluation, and ongoing support for all components of the program. Provides statistical and financial reporting/analysis to internal external entities as directed by supervisor.

A Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare related field, Finance Business, and or Information Technology; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Three (3) years experience supporting Healthcare Revenue Cycle applications including implementation and/or maintenance.
Experience with analysis, build, implementation and support of healthcare information systems.
Experience working with Hospital Physician billing and or registration systems.
Demonstrated experience working with interfaced integrated multi-vendor applications.
Demonstrated reporting and analytical experience.
Ability to analyze data for reporting purposes using Excel including importing data from ODBC, Text, etc., SQL, and Ad Hoc Reporting.
Proven data analysis ability using spreadsheet software such as Excel, SQL, and Ad Hoc Reporting.
Must be self-directed and able to work autonomously in a professional and productive manner.
- Patient Access and Admitting experience
- Charge Capture, Denials Management and Recovery experience
- Patient Accounting, and/or Patient Financial Services experience
- Experience with the following applications; Databound EMUE or other emulator application
- Clarity Reports
- EPIC systems
- Knowledge of ASC X12 terms, and familiar with 5010 data elements
Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
