Position Summary: The Health Physics Technician will perform radiation and contamination surveys of radiological controlled areas and radioactive materials at PPPL, using appropriate instrumentation and completing required documentation. Provide authorization to personnel to enter areas and move or remove materials after analyses are completed. Provide health physics coverage for work performed in radiological controlled areas including maintenance, facility operations, equipment removal and equipment installations and perform other health physics task as assigned.
Essential Qualifications: Qualifications includes a High School diploma, work experience at commercial nuclear facilities, hospitals and/or other radiological facilities including DOE facilities is preferred. Must be capable of climbing ladders and accessing elevated areas and facilities.
