The Ophthalmology department has three offices and a state of the art eye surgery center at our Peabody hospital. Due to significantly increased clinical volume, a fourth glaucoma surgeon is needed. The successful applicant will join a dynamic ophthalmology service with 16 comprehensive and subspecialty ophthalmologists and 8 optometrists. We are a part of the residency teaching program of the New England Eye Center and our MDs qualify for academic appointments at Tufts University School of Medicine. Our department also has longstanding teaching and service relationships with ophthalmology clinics in Egypt, Turkey, and El Salvador.
We are seeking a fellowship-trained, board certified or eligible ophthalmologist with excellent surgical and clinical skills . The successful candidate will be expected to take part in resident teaching , collaborate with colleagues on clinical, academic, and administrative projects. Research interests are welcomed and supported but are not a requirement for this position.
