Required: BA or BS in Arts Administration, Technical Theatre, Production Management, Project Management, Business or related field. Minimum 5 years of experience as a production/events/concert manager implementing, overseeing and managing project and event plans within performing arts venues, settings or facilities. Experience working in stage management, technical theatre, production and stage operations. Excellent interpersonal skills to work with diverse individuals inside and outside the university; including performing arts professionals, artists, ensembles and groups and success in mounting complex, top quality arts presentations. Strong organizational skills to create, implement, monitor and evaluate successful production planning strategies with expertise in all arts/production organization. Proven leadership skills to build, engage, motivate and maintain collaborative teams, improve services and foster strong working relationships with diverse constituents, artists and arts professionals. Demonstrated project management experience with proven ability to address diverse problems, define relevant issues, draw sound conclusions and make responsible decisions/recommendations. Full knowledge of and understanding of theatrical safety requirements for artists and audiences in a complex performing arts center with full stage house and fly loft. Strong time and project management skills with the ability to juggle competing timelines and priorities and a gift for getting things done accurately and efficiently; thrives in a busy and changing environment working with multiple inputs and demands for attention. Strong analytical skills to think strategically, evaluate and understand data, identify key areas, develop appropriate solutions and achieve goals. Excellent oral and written communication to interact, communicate and persuade diverse groups and individuals at all levels. Experience in managing budget with the ability to prepare, estimate, monitor and reconcile budgets and expenses. Understanding of legal contracts and agreements.
Desired: Advanced degree preferred. Knowledge of arts and culture community in Orange County, as well as local production support providers, vendors, and resources.
