Seton Family of Doctors Palliative Care team in Austin, TX is looking for BE/BC Palliative Care Physicians to join our team and provide inpatient consultations throughout our Central Austin network, with the ability to expand to an outpatient practice. Successful candidates will demonstrate exemplary and compassionate clinical skills and embrace a collaborative interdisciplinary team approach.
At Seton Palliative Care, our goal is to help patients optimize their quality of life and improve functioning during or after serious or chronic illness by addressing symptom needs, defining care goals and facilitating communication with providers involved in their care.
Our doctors are specially trained in Palliative Medicine. They identify both physical and emotional pain and the symptoms of the illness and provide treatment plans to alleviate suffering and manage pain throughout the patients’ continuum of care. In addition to symptom and pain management, our specialists work closely with the patients, their families and their care team to ensure coordinated care across all stages of treatment.

Seton operates more than 100 clinical locations, including four teaching hospitals that will be training sites for Dell Medical School at The University of Texas starting in 2016.
One of those training sites is Dell Children’s Medical Center of Central Texas, a world-class pediatric medical center with its own Level I trauma center. Another is University Medical Center Brackenridge, which is Ce...ntral Texas’ only Level I trauma center for adults. UMC Brackenridge will be replaced by the new Dell Seton Medical Center at The University of Texas in early 2017. The other two teaching hospitals are Seton Medical Center Austin, the region’s largest medical facility, and Seton Shoal Creek Hospital, the area’s only nonprofit mental health facility.
