Post Doctoral Fellow
The Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at the Missouri University of Science and Technology invites applications for a full-time post-doctoral fellow in the area of Additive Manufacturing (AM) control.
The project involves the development of new algorithms for layer to layer control of AM processes. The position involves the development of the control theory for AM layer-to-layer control, and implementation of the control algorithms on an AM process, which has been specially instrumented for control and is located at Missouri S&T. The successful applicant will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of faculty and graduate students in heat transfer and materials science, as well as scientists and engineers from our industrial sponsors. The successful applicant will also help mentor undergraduate and graduate students on the project, write technical papers, and report to our industrial sponsors.

PhD in mechanical or electrical engineering and/or related fields.
At least 5 journal publications.
