Involves the development and implementation of the organization's information systems and tools that are applied to clinical information. Works closely with clinicians across all hospital/healthcare departments to optimize effective use of systems. Coordinates analytical support for health management, including profiling, health economics, and business analytics / performance metrics. Defines systems and applications to support various functions. May provide customer service, troubleshooting and maintenance.
Applies skills and experience as a seasoned clinical informatics professional to projects of medium size at all levels of complexity, or portions of large projects.

Degree in Healthcare-related field, Finance, Business and or Information Technology.
Three (3) years experience supporting Healthcare Revenue Cycle applications including implementation and or maintenance.
Intermediate level capabilities with MS Access and MSSQL server and related technologies.
Knowledge and intermediate level experience working with Transact SQL, Crystal Reports 11, OLAP structures and/or other related technologies.
Extensive experience and working knowledge of all MS office products.
Knowledge and experience of database management technologies.
Excellent project management skills.
Ability to working a group setting and group projects.
Excellent verbal, written communication skills, presentation and report writing.
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to manage multiple projects independently, setting priorities to meet deadlines.
Advanced level experience with database management and various third-party report building tools such as Crystal Reports, Cognos, SAS, and others.
Experience in a large, complex healthcare environment preferred.
EPIC systems software experience (implementation, support, upgrades, etc.) for the following applications: Cadence, Prelude, Resolute Hospital and Professional Billing.
- Must be available for 7/24 shifts, and on-call duties as required. Able to work overtime and/or flexible hours as needed to meet project deadlines.
- Must be able to travel within various UCSD sites in county. Must be able to travel outside of the county a minimum of 5% of the time for training, conferences, seminars, or meetings in support of assigned projects.
- Must be self-directed and able to work autonomously in a professional and productive manner.
