Job Duties:Work collaboratively with departments regarding software use;
Ensure department projects are completed in a timely fashion;
Recommending and implementing changes and enhancements to existing applications;
Make suggestions for improving user support;
Produce documentation for end users;
Maintain a professional attitude at all times while working with users;
Support the various activities of Information Technology Services;
Assist with the management of departmental budgets;
Management of documents required of employees for computer access, data dissemination, computer usage standards, and FERPA disclosure;
Serve on various college committees as assigned; and
Perform additional duties or activities as assigned by the supervisor, division vice president, and/or the president.
Application Support Specialist: The Application Support Specialist is responsible for assisting end users with the implementation and management of support software, those other than Colleague, used campus wide, Software includes, but is not limited to, all SoftDocs products (Doc-e-Scan, Doc-e-Fill, and Doc-e-Serve), R25, Microsoft Office, and Microsoft Skype. The Application Support Specialist will train personnel and document the use of the applications to ensure consistent usage of the applications campus wide.
Administrative Assistant: The Administrative Assistant will provide general office support and support of the Chief Technology Officer with a variety of clerical and office tasks. Primary responsibilities include assisting with managing departmental budgets; maintaining the leave forms, department schedule, department projects and other ITS employee related documentation; and managing documents required of all Durham Tech employees for computer access, data dissemination, computer usage standards, and FERPA declarations.
Minimum Qualifications:Associate's degree in business, computing, programming, or related field.
Work Experience:A minimum of one year of work experience supporting various software applications. Software includes, but is not limited to, all SoftDocs products (Doc-e-Scan, Doc-e-Fill, and Doc-e-Serve), R25, Microsoft Office, and Microsoft Skype.
Experience in using an Electronic Document Management system.

Hiring Range: $36,000- $40,000 annually
