Assistant Professor. Academic year, tenure-track position in marriage and family therapy. Position is located in Falls Church, Virginia, 6 miles from Washington, DC. The MFT program in Northern Virginia is known for its strong clinical training and high quality research. We are a program that values diversity and innovation. We are a small program with a collaborative and collegial atmosphere; to that end, we are looking for a good team player.
Primary responsibilities of the position will be to serve as a core faculty member in the MFT program, develop a program of externally funded research and publications, teach MFT masters courses, provide clinical supervision, and direct master's theses. The expected/standard teaching load is two/two courses per academic year.
Candidates must have a doctoral degree in marriage and family therapy or related field at the time of appointment.
Preferred qualifications include Clinical Membership in AAMFT with Approved Supervisor designation, experience in teaching at the graduate level, record of publications in scholarly journals and successful grantsmanship.
