KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
The Supervisor of Tissue Recovery must have the ability to communicate and present information effectively within a team environment. This position requires a proactive team player who must uphold the core values of the organization which include passion, integrity, and team work. This individual must possess strong interpersonal skills that would allow him/her to deal effectively in a dynamic field. This position requires strong attention to detail, written and verbal communication skills.
Education and/or Experience:
Required: Degree in biologic sciences or an equivalent degree/diploma/certification in an allied health field. Minimum of 3 years of experience may substitute for educational requirement.
Required: Minimum three years experience in a Tissue Organ procurement organization. Significant knowledge of all aspects of the surgical recovery of tissue including donor screening criteria, physical assessment, tissue recovery, and regulatory requirementsPrior Supervisory experience.
AATB Certification Preferred
EBAA Certification Preferred
Valid California Driver License and must meet DONOR NETWORK WEST insurance prerequisites.
Proficient use of office equipment, including but not limited to personal computer, fax machine, calculator, photocopier, scanner and telephone.
This individual must possess intermediate to advanced computer skills in Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook and electronic mail functions.
