The Medical College of Wisconsin and Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin are actively recruiting physicians dedicated to hospital medicine to join our expanding group of hospitalists. Opportunities include nocturnist, daytime hospitalist, and combined positions with nocturnal shifts and daytime service. Shared Medicine-Pediatrics hospitalist positions are also available and encouraged.
Our hospitalists provide attending physician care to inpatients in the acute care units. Coverage duties do not include PICU, NICU, newborn nursery, or ED. Academic nocturnist clinical responsibilities consist of eight 15-hour shifts per month, while daytime hospitalists average 22 clinical weeks per year, in addition to other academic responsibilities. Nocturnist/daytime hybrid positions are available, and flexible scheduling options are offered. Inpatient pediatric experience, particularly in an academic setting, is strongly preferred, as is interest in an academic appointment. A competitive compensation package and academic appointment will be offered; however, clinical-only positions will be considered. Candidates should be board certified or board eligible in pediatrics.
