This position is responsible the daily oversight on all aspects of the Extracorporeal Life support Services (ECLS) Program. This includes 24/7 accountability for the program focused on save, effective, quality care.
-Bachelor degree required
-Master degree (preferred)
-A minimum of 5 years critical care nursing care experience.
-A minimum of 3 years of ECLS/ECMO nursing experience
-Demonstrates leadership and creativity to guide others through change and to new levels of understanding.
-Demonstrates ability to effectively work with physicians, staff, and patients.
-Demonstrates ability to utilize effective, appropriate and diplomatic oral and written communication skills.
-Demonstrates ability to work independently with minimal direction and supervision.
-Demonstrates ability to write and publish in professional journals and text.
-Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office as well as Internet access and utilization.
-Ability to utilize research data and quality data for improvement of patient-care practices.
-Valid California Registered Nurse License or Certified Clinical Perfusionist
-Valid ACLS and BLS training
-A Fire and Safety card must be presented upon hire or must be obtained at our facility within the first 30 days of hire and maintained by renewing before expiration date.
