UCSF FRESNO ACADEMIC GENERAL OB/GYN OPPORTUNITY – CENTRAL CALIFORNIA
The UCSF Fresno Medical Education Program and Central California Faculty Medical Group (CCFMG) are recruiting for a General OB/GYN faculty member. At the time of hire, the applicant must have successfully completed an ACGME or AOA accredited OB/GYN residency program, be board certified or eligible in OBGYN and must be eligible to obtain a California Medical License or already be licensed in the State of California.
UCSF Fresno, a regional campus of the University of California, San Francisco, features nine independent residency programs and is a major teaching site for UCSF medical students. Our participating hospital Community Regional Medical Center (CRMC) is the only tertiary referral and level 1 trauma center in the region, has a state of the art Emergency Department, Cyber knife, 84 bed level III NICU, 21 bed L & D with 3 dedicated ORs and dual console da Vinci Robot surgical system. We care for a wide variety of interesting patients including a large volume of high-risk obstetrics and challenging gynecologic surgical cases. CRMC delivers more than 6,000 babies per year with the residency program delivering almost half of those babies.
The position involves a mix of resident and medical student teaching and a limited private practice. This candidate must be committed to teaching, scholarly activity, and excellence in clinical care. Compensation is very competitive including a productivity bonus and UCSF faculty appointments are commensurate with the applicant’s background and accomplishments
