Advertised Summary Job Description: The Manager for Housing Information Systems is responsible for ensuring that all data related to undergraduate housing floor plans, assignments, and billing is correct and secure in all housing systems including Star Rez Housing Management system, Lenel access system, and Electronic Ving data for room doors. The position works closely with Student and Guest Accommodations, Housing Operations, Customer Relations IT group, and the Finance department to ensure that all students and operations are set up properly and that all billing is correct. The position creates and monitors reports of occupancy, billing, and access, and is responsible to reconcile all billing for student housing. In addition, this position maintains the integrity of the room/building database making any corrections and changes as they occur and updating rates for Room Selection. This position also provides training and support of all housing systems for the entire Housing Services department and University Partners that utilize the housing systems.
General Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and/or its equivalent and a minimum of 3 years related experience required.
Additional Specific Minimum Qualifications: Strong computer skills needed with working knowledge of the following: Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point, and Access. Ability to learn and use new systems as needed. Knowledge of and some experience with computer programming language (HTML, SQL, etc.). Excellent organization skills. Strong writing skills needed for documentation of processes. Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Star Rez Housing system. Previous experience training non-technical staff is highly desirable.
