Duties and Responsibilities:
The Higher Education Leadership & Policy Studies Program within the Department of Educational Leadership & Policy Studies at the University of Houston seeks one (1) tenured associate professor.
We seek new a new colleague who shares our program's philosophical belief in the transformational nature of higher education as an institution of social change. Our program aims, through its scholarship, teaching, service and its graduates, to strengthen educational opportunities and outcomes for all students, particularly those individuals historically underserved by our current local, state, national, and international educational and social systems.
We welcome applicants who utilize a full range of qualitative, quantitative, and mixed methodological approaches. While a broad set of research areas will be considered, priority will be placed on applicants whose scholarship a) addresses issues of equity and adequacy related to student access, retention, and success; b) evaluates and contributes to higher education policy development and implementation; and, c) investigates issues salient to the experiences of historically underserved students.

Our program offers a Ph.D. degree in Higher Education Leadership & Policy Studies and an M.Ed. in Higher Education.
