Family physician with strong interest in medical education and curriculum development in the family medicine clerkship and electives; evaluating and supervising medical students in a community based/university setting; and scholarship to support the mission of the Boonshoft School of Medicine and the Department of Family Medicine.
Clinical experience in direct patient care in an outpatient and/or inpatient setting and coverage, possible OB.
1. M.D. or D.O. degree
2. Completion of a 3-year allopathic or osteopathic residency in Family Medicine
3. Board Certification in Family Medicine
4. Ohio Medical License or eligible for licensure
2-5 years of clinical experience with interest in medical student education, curriculum development, student supervision and evaluation. Knowledge of direct patient care in the outpatient care and/or inpatient setting. Obstetrical skills a plus. Track record of scholarly activities.
Essential Functions and percent of time::
Faculty responsibilities: 50% time spent in medical education, scholarly, and administrative activities. This includes didactic development and oversight as well as direct patient care teaching and supervision of medical students in a community-based/university setting and collaborative scholarship with faculty and medical students. Approximately 50% time in outpatient and/or inpatient care and coverage, utilizing strong interpersonal skills and a working knowledge of the patient-centered medical home concept. Potential leadership role.
Clinical setting in an outpatient clinic with attached academic department and classrooms. Special contract terms and conditions of employment apply. Length of contract: 1 year and renewable.
