| OBIEE Analyst/Administrator: Serve as OBIEE developer, analyst and systems administrator to implement and support Oracle Business Information Applications/Student Information Analytics (OBIA/SIA). This position requires prior experience developing and implementing enterprise-scale Business Intelligence implementations, preferably based on data from Campus Solutions. The candidate must demonstrate a proven background in OBIEE including RPD modeling, Presentation Services, Scorecard, Interactive Dashboards, BI Delivers, Action framework and BI Publisher. This role will have experience implementing both 'buy' and 'build' solutions for enterprise business intelligence. The position requires strong BI development and administration skills to balance the need to deliver high-quality, reliable data and reporting and analytic deliverables with accountability for meeting timeline and scope agreements with project sponsors. Essential Functions:BI Development:Following prescribed project and development methodology under the direction of a Project Manager, work closely with the BI Lead, DW/ETL Lead, BI developers, source application developers, and subject matter experts (SMEs).Work with the BI Lead, stewards, and subject matter experts to understand data analysis requirements, data definitions, and security/access requirements to develop new reports or modify out of the box reports.Participate in requirements analysis, and support the update of DW conceptual data models.Participate in translating reporting requirements into a scope and delivery strategy for the subject area.Profile data and document objects, business rules, and caveats. Develop reporting framework and reporting deliverables using OBIEE, working on the physical, BMM and presentation layers repository and Answers environments.Configure and customize OBIEE out of the box reports.Test reporting framework (e.g. OBIEE RPD) and reporting deliverables, assuring data validity and integrity.Implement security in RPD, reports and in admin console as per the University of Chicago guidelines by leveraging Oracle platform security services using Oracle fusion middleware 11g.Implement performance tuning to OBIEE reports in the production environment.Use agents for reports scheduling and automate delivering reports to users.Develop efficient code that meets analysis and design criteria.Adhere to development and administration best practices for BI Reports across all the environments.Develop production support and training materials, user website, and conduct training for roll-out.Liaise with users to ensure BI deliverables are meeting or exceeding expectations.Support and enhance production BI applications:Support and enhance OBIEE analytic deliverables working with BI Lead and data stewards on regular marketing and adoption efforts, enhancement releases, and review/update of OBIEE deliverables.Provide break-fix support and communicate outages to users as defined by IT Services standards.Implement BI training and help-desk activities.Help business users leverage the appropriate OBIEE techniques and tools.Participate in the development and promulgation of OBIEE standards and procedures. Technical administration of Oracle BI server, Web catalog and OBIEE reports:Administer WebLogic Server and Oracle Enterprise Manager for privileges, permissions, starting and stopping services.Apply patches regularly based on the vendor's recommendations and bring the system back to normalcy.Deploy modified RPD and restart OPMN services.Migrate Web Catalog across different environments.Manually merge RPD and/or setup MUDE to provide RPD access to multiple developers. |
