Saint Louis University, a Catholic, Jesuit institution dedicated to student learning, research, health care, and service, seeks applicants for the position of Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics. Ph.D. required in Statistics or a related area. The department seeks candidates with outstanding potential in both research and teaching, who will contribute to the overall strength of the department. Duties include maintaining an active research program and teaching both undergraduate and graduate courses, with eventual participation in the supervision of master’s theses and doctoral dissertations.
The department currently consists of twenty-three faculty members whose research areas include algebra, analysis, geometry, topology, and statistics.
