The University of Chicago's Department of Neurology seeks a clinical epilepsy and neurophysiology physician with leadership experience to serve as the Director of Adult Epilepsy and Clinical Neurophysiology. A portion of this role includes the opportunity to establish and grow an active research program that integrates with other epilepsy and neuroscience research on campus. The director will oversee the clinical epilepsy and neurophysiology clinical services and be responsible for expanding our clinical services and integrating with other units. The director will also oversee the fellowship programs in epilepsy and clinical neurophysiology. Applicants must hold a medical degree, be able to obtain medical licensure in Illinois, and be board certified in neurology and clinical neurophysiology (or equivalent). Previous teaching experience in a clinical setting preferred. Applicants must also have prior clinical research experience, a record of peer-reviewed publications, and demonstrated success in building a clinical program. Academic appointment will be at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor, commensurate with academic accomplishment. Compensation includes an excellent benefits package.
