Minimum Qualifications: NYS licensed/eligible or permit to practice as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist required. Ability to distinguish colors required. Two years of clinical laboratory experience preferred. Candidates who possess a NYS licensed/eligible or permit to practice as a Clinical Laboratory Technician will be considered for appointment to a different title at a commensurate salary.
Job Standard / Operational Needs: Perform accessioning of all cases for the Hematopathology Department. Function as an Assistant to the Bone Marrow-Morphology Medical Technologist. Functions include accessioning, routine staining and special staining of bone marrow slides, answering phone calls and other clerical duties as needed.
