The Alfred State College Automotive Department is in search of an instructor to teach in our two year A.O.S. degree program. The ideal applicant will be experienced and proficient in all aspects of heavy truck and equipment repair. The primary responsibilities include instructing and advising students in our Heavy Equipment; Truck and Diesel curriculum. The topics to be taught may include but are not limited to: Diesel engines, air brakes, suspension, steering, electrical, hydraulics, and fuel systems. The ideal candidate will also be fluent with computers used for word processing, email, and grading.
An associate or higher degree, and a minimum of seven years of experience, with five of those years working as a technician, are required. Certifications and factory service training are desirable.
