The Department of Surgery at the University of Minnesota is seeking a qualified individual to fill a full-time clinical faculty member position on the Clinical Scholar Track within the Division of Surgical Oncology. Verification of Rank and Track will be determined according to the qualifications and interest of the candidate. The position will be based at the University of Minnesota Medical Center with potential additional responsibilities at affiliated practice sites.
Responsibilities for this position include the evaluation and management of patients with complex GI cancer, participating in or leading related research, teaching and training of medical students and residents, and participating in activities and initiatives to support the goals, mission, and values of Surgical Oncology Division, Department of Surgery, and University of Minnesota.
Required qualifications include:
Certification in General Surgery and Surgical Oncology
Completion of a Surgical Oncology Fellowship
Multidisciplinary care experience treating patients with complex GI cancer, including Hepatobiliary and Pancreatic surgery
A demonstrated history of effective and collegial communication with students, colleagues, and patients
