Summary Description: The Computer Science Department is seeking highly qualified researchers who have either a strong, distinctive research agenda or the potential to create one, and whose strengths complement our existing research areas in machine learning and data science. This position will also be affiliated with the Data Science Institute's Foundations of Data Science.
Minimum Qualifications: Ph.D. in machine learning, computer science, statistics, engineering, applied mathematics, or other related fields.Strong analytical and quantitative abilities. Strong interpersonal organizational and communication skills. Demonstrated innovation and excellence in research, and publications in top journals and conferences. Strong record of attracting grant support, or potential to build such a record.
Preferred Qualifications: Candidates with evidence of successful data science and machine learning-related collaborations across disciplines, or substantial contributions to major machine learning open-source projects are highly desirable.
