Essential Functions: JOB PURPOSE? Prepare data collection packets? Assist with data collection sessions with adolescent and young adult human subjects? Enter data into SPSS files or other data collection software? Stay current on Responsible Conduct of Human Subjects Research training? Record meeting minutes and share action items with team? Set up conference calls? Set up and coordinate meeting times (e.g., utilizing meeting software such as doodle.com)? Assist with conducting literature searches using Google Scholar and other reference software? Assist with organizing and producing reference lists for grants and publications using EndNote and Microsoft Word? Assist with other tasks as requested
Qualifications: EDUCATIONHigh school graduate (or GED) or equivalent combination of education and/or experience. Some knowledge of data collection methods preferred. EXPERIENCEKnowledge of HIV/AIDS awareness perceptive and experience working individuals with clinical trials.Familiarity with medical terminology preferred. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIESCOMMUNICATION SKILLS: Ability to communicate effectively with others orally and in writing.PLANNING/ORGANIZATIIONAL SKILLS: Can prioritize and plan work activities. Can adapt for changing conditions. INTERPERSONAL SKILLS: Ability to work in a stressful environment in a jail setting and may have contact with difficult, aggressive inmates or inmates unable to control behavior. Ability to establish and maintain confidential relationships. CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS: Responds courteously to requests for service and assistance. Can respond effectively to sensitive inquiries or complaints.TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE: Demonstrates knowledge of basic first aid CPR and emergency care and maintains infection control treatment standards. Ability to operate standard office equipment and MS computer software programs. ORGANIZATION SKILLS: Must be able to file alphabetically and numerically, maintain and retrieve documents, including inmate records. Must possess good time management skills. Execute duties promptly and efficiently while maintaining confidentiality of records.
